DISCLAIMER: It took 4-ever to write this page because it was too emotional for me. (I know, I'm a dork LOL!). Love my girls!!!
Nicara aka "my conscience" is probably one of the most geniuine people I know. Also known by me as my "Wine-o buddy" (see picture) or "Crazy" (for various reasons; just assume - you're probably correct, LOL!), she's silly and so much fun to be with! Nicara has a huge heart, infectious laugh, knows WAY too much about my life, and STILL loves me! YAY! Love you to pieces!!!
The Lovely Dr. Harper and I met at Orientation at UNC-Chapel Hill (TARHEELS!) and have been inseparatable ever since. Never has anyone been more supportive of EVERYTHING that I do! She is the true definition of a "Ride or Die" Chick and there's nothing in this world that I wouldn't do for her (maybe I shouldn't say that before she starts to get some ideas....LOL!). I love her like a sister, and I'm so honored that she agreed to be my Matron of Honor on my wedding day!!

MIKA!!! Where would my world (and my social life) be without you? See what happens when you pick up friends from a corner? (Seriously, that's how we met - long story. LOL! :-) ) Mika is probably the most heartfelt and honest person (and has the best laugh ever!). I have to admit, I think at times, Mika knows me better than I know myself! I can say confidently that the majority of people that live or hang with me in the DC area...has also met Mika since I rarely go far without my Sidekick (and TOREY too!). LOL! Thanks for always being there! Love you!
Joilynne aka "Soon to be "Mrs. Shelby Taylor" is my oldest friend and the little sister that I have always wanted. I have known this wonderful female since I was 4 years old! We started out at the same dance school in Trenton, NJ, then went on to the same middle school and high school together. Although she's usually shy around most, Joi is the only person that can convince me to dance in public all crazy, make a "music video" LOL!, or take her anywhere (high school flashback). No matter where I am, I know that she's there for me, and I'm so grateful for our friendship.
I LOVE the fact that I was one of the first people that met Chrissy when she first moved to Richmond, VA (like literally one of THE first people LOL!), and we have been "Roll Dawgs" ever since. From Happy Hours to Happy Days, we stuck together and got to know the city of Richmond a little better. I'm lucky because over the years, Chrissy has truly considered me to be a part of her family and now...she's stuck with me. LOL! Her friendship means so much, whart's even better is that I now have another niece to spoil! Love you too MILA!
I call Fritzie my "silent rock" for depsite her quite demeanor and angelic voice, she is one of the strongest females that I know as well as the proud Mother of 3 amazing children. We also met at UNC-Chapel Hill where we stuck together as the "babies of the group" for we were 2 of the youngest of the UNC '03 crew! That didn't stop us from having fun together...it just stopped us from entering parties until we both turned 21. LOL! She has the heart of gold and is one of the most sincere and supportive women that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and I'm so blessed that our friendship has remained so strong over the years.
Some of my funniest moments in my pre-Doctoral years involve the lovely Mo, aka "Trick!". At times, I call her my "Life Line" because she is ALWAYS there to listen to me, no matter what time it is or where (Though I WILL get told about myself the next day LOL!). Between my conversations with her and Toya (hey girl!), I can always count on ONE of us to act or say something inappropriate LOL! Which, to me is COMPLETELY appropriate. She has an awesome sense of humor, and I'm one of the lucky ones that "get her". Best of all, she "gets me" too! LOVE YOU TRICK!
Uh.....What can I say about Keyani that won't cause me to either laugh or cry? LOL! This is the one person that knows EXACTLY what I mean, just by looking at my face LOL! She is like a big sister to me, and I have always admired and looked up to her. Not only does she have 2 beautiful girls and can STILL 'work it' in a dress (OWWW!), this Marathon runner (WHAAAT?!! Yeah i said it!) has the strength of a BEAST and provides some of the best advice that I've ever had the pleasure of "falling out" (literally) to. LOL! We always talk about "returning the favor"to each other for countless reasons, but just having her and her Fam in my life - 'nuf said. No return of favor EVER needed. Love you man! (Ok, I'm done writing, before I start BAWLING and electricute myself on this computer!!)
